•Our school's western band has been short of some of their instruments for a long time, which has caused great inconvenience to students.

   Therefore as a donation from the 97-2000 alumni group of our school, a set of band instruments and an instrument rack were donated to the Western Music Classroom

•A special concept has been introduced to check the books of school children and is scheduled to be implemented from 09.14.2020.
Accordingly, every day in a randomly selected class, a group of randomly selected children are to check all the books in the  school bag
At that time the child should have all the exercise books along with the textbooks relevant to the time table of the day and all the exercise books should be marked by the subject teachers.

Students who successfully face this program will also receive a valuable certificate from the principal.


• A special science program for Grade 11 students will be conducted every Thursday from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm at school premises,as most of the Grade 11 students showed low achievement levels in the subject. This will be handled by an external resource person under the guidance of our Principal.


•Timetables for new Advanced Level classes (2023 A/L) were successfully prepared.

As a result, there were some changes in the current study schedule for students in grades 6-13.

The updated timetable was effective as usual from 11.09.2020.

The recruitment of new members ___________   The  new members were recruited for astronomy club & the announcing team through a practical test on 30th and 31st of March. Among most of the participants, members were selected according to the best perforomances  Extra classes for grade 11 students _________ Students who are sitting for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination this year do not have much time to cover the syllabus and discuss the question papers.Therefore, we have decided to hold extra classes in the evenings from 1.30-3.30pm. • O/L Examination 2020 continuous successfully_________________________   The Grade 11 Ordinary Level Examination's first day was commenced successfully on 1st of March at the sc hool premises under the given health guidelines of the ministry of health. The GCE O / L Examination is to be run successfully for about a week from March 1st.  • Prepare before risk_____________   A few days before the GCE O / L Exam this time, the principal of our school contracted the Covid-19 virus.Therefore, the entire school was disinfected and several teachers were quarantined considering the health safety of the children.
