The Provincial 3rd term tests, which were not available for students in the year 2020, was commenced on 18th of February.These tests are scheduled for students from grade 6 to 10.

The principal of our school, Mr.Dhammika Priyadarshana, was tested positive with covid-19 infection on February 15th.It is said that the principal contracted the disease from a covid-19 infected person who came to the school.
Therefore, pcr tests were carried out on about 54 academic and non academic staff memebers and it was confirmed that they were negative.



Decrease in student attendance

The day after the principal became infected with covid-19, there was a rapid decline in the attendance of students as well as teachers at the school.However, the school informs that the educational activities of the school are going on as scheduled as before.


•Giving admission to O / L students
____________



Students who are scheduled to sit for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination in March this year are requested to come on February 23rd 2021 from 10 am to 12 noon to obtain admission.Class teachers will issue the admissions for relevant classes.

The recruitment of new members ___________   The  new members were recruited for astronomy club & the announcing team through a practical test on 30th and 31st of March. Among most of the participants, members were selected according to the best perforomances  Extra classes for grade 11 students _________ Students who are sitting for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination this year do not have much time to cover the syllabus and discuss the question papers.Therefore, we have decided to hold extra classes in the evenings from 1.30-3.30pm. • O/L Examination 2020 continuous successfully_________________________   The Grade 11 Ordinary Level Examination's first day was commenced successfully on 1st of March at the sc hool premises under the given health guidelines of the ministry of health. The GCE O / L Examination is to be run successfully for about a week from March 1st.  • Prepare before risk_____________   A few days before the GCE O / L Exam this time, the principal of our school contracted the Covid-19 virus.Therefore, the entire school was disinfected and several teachers were quarantined considering the health safety of the children.
