•At the beginning of the year 2020, the daily daily activities of the world were disrupted due to the Covid-19 or new corona virus which spread all over the world. However, due to the impact of the corona virus on Sri Lanka, schools as well as government institutions had to be closed on March 12, 2020.

It had set a date to reopen the closed schools, but the reopening of schools was postponed until August 10 due to the rapid spread of the corona virus in Sri Lanka. The closed schools reopened on August 10, subject to prescribed guidelines. It was opened five days a week for grades 5,10,11,12 and one day for other grades. However, the recruitment process for the GCE Advanced Level Grade 2020 was held on the 13th after the results of the 2020 GCE Ordinary Level Examination were announced on Monday 13th July. Following the release of the results of the GCE Ordinary Level Examination on that day, the students who are eligible to sit for the GCE Advanced Level Examination 2023 were given the opportunity to choose the subjects to sit for the examination and this was done subject to the prescribed health guidelines in all schools in the island.




•Baddegama Christian Boys' School officially opened on Monday. Most of the students showed a rapid increase in school attendance. Students as well as teachers wearing masks according to health recommendations. Entered. Before entering there, all the students had their temperature checked and all the students successfully faced it.

  
       All students as well as teachers were found to be following the rules and regulations provided by the government with disinfectant liquids, adequate disinfected toilet facilities as well as water containers. In addition, there were 22 students in one classroom, and they were seen studying in a hygienic manner.




•We are in grade 11 of the college this time GCE Additional night classes have been started for 98 students who are facing the GCE Ordinary Level Examination. For this purpose, with the full support of the School Past Pupils Association, several special teachers were brought to the school and given the opportunity to engage in activities that would suit the achievement level of the students. A special treatise has been prepared for the students.


      In addition, these 98 low-achieving students were assigned to 98 specialized teachers, one per student, to look after the student's school attendance, with special attention to that student.


        This is a commendable effort made by our school to actively direct students to the GCE Advanced Level Examination after passing the GCE Ordinary Level Examination.



•Implementation of the Guardian Teacher Program.

      The decision was taken by the current principal of the school considering the uncertainty of running schools and the low level of performance of students due to the current risk of corona.


     The main objective of this is to assess the progress of the child by paying special attention to the child at school as well as outside and looking for the factors and causes that are hindering his education and directly intervening in them.
